Marriage Moats-Sing a Song

![]() I have written a few songs in my day. They were mostly about stories from the Bible. Some of them help children to learn the twelve sons of Israel, or the ten plagues, or the twelve disciples. Learning through music works even better than storing the information in a locked box in your basement, because it is instantly available.
One of the songs John and I wrote before we were married has nourished me over the years. A few of the lines were nice ideas when we first sang them, but it was not until years later that they brimmed with substance.
"Their love never sleeping..." How was I to plumb that reality until I slammed into life with a newborn?
"New ways of living, forgiving, love opens the way." Forgiveness was an embellishment back when we were engaged. Neither of us had any experience with trampling each other, so it was easy to be lavish with a resource you did not need yet.
