I may as well skip the next month. I got my share of joy all in one afternoon.

Zack and his girlfriend have been dating for a year, so he orchestrated an anniversary celebration. He took her to a movie, a vegetarian restaurant and as a capstone, swing dancing in Philly. He did not know how to swing dance, mind you, but such details pose little friction for a seventeen year old redhead.

There are of course, many free and freely available dance instructors on You Tube who never mention your mistakes. The only difficulty being that this was all meant to be a surprise, so Zack could not learn the steps with his lady friend. He needed someone to practice with. Enter little sisters. Although their combined age is about right, they are, when it comes right down to it two separate individuals. But even shortness does not disqualify them. It makes them easier to twirl over his shoulders.

Zack and Hope and Aurelle watched instructional videos and danced for two hours. When one girl got winded, they switched. As they started to get the swing of it, they no longer wanted the distraction of words, so they turned to the keyboard and clicked the right buttons for a steady beat. It was adorable.

I have no idea how the longevity of this sweet relationship will progress,. But I do know that Zack is learning to care about what makes a young lady happy. And as if that were not enough, two little girls spent the better part of a Friday afternoon with a big brother who is showing them what it feels like to cut the rug.
