![]() It is hard to have a broad picture, because we are so swept up in the flurry of today. What kind of consolation prize is yesterday and tomorrow? I want now.
Watching time lapse photography helps me to climb out of my serfdom to the clock. I feel the tethers pulling me forward, backward and to both sides as I scramble to be efficient at all costs.
This is an exquisite Ted Talk about the interaction of flowers, bees, bats and hummingbirds. When I am awash with a cloud of orange wings, I glimpse the magnificence of a life unencumbered by digits, and impervious to hurrying.
Could it be that my marriage is ripening in a time frame too subtle for frenetic eyes? One day will my wings uncrumple, moist with dew, and carry me aloft on flowers' breaths? Will the miniscule droplets of nectar that I collect on my meandering pilgrimage amount to enough sweetness to nourish my marriage through the winter?
