Marriage Moats Caring for Marriage

Which one is more trusting?

Perhaps you know the book Blueberries for Sal, by Robert McCloskey. It is about a little girl and a young bear who have not yet learned to be afraid of each other.

What I love is the notion that we are all wired to be trusting. No one, furry or otherwise, is born a cynic.

Knowing that our protective coat is one we have gradually put on and forgotten to take off, can we find the zipper? Or is it rusted shut?

Transparency is a quality of letting yourself be seen. Your spouse sees you in all weather and conditions, even in your monkey suit.

I read a study in which people simply stood palm to palm for several minutes. Their feelings of connection were measurable. It does involve putting down all hand held devices, bananas and grudges.

Sounds inviting.
