Marriage Moats Caring for Marriage

These synchronized swimmers are whirling through the air like birds. It is pretty clever of them, really. Yet the girls below them, and the four swimmers you can't see below them are the basis for that flight. The quartet holding their collective breath, the ones pushing up on the girls treading water, don't even get to enjoy watching the fun. The rules are that they cannot touch the bottom of the pool, but their combined strength supports the two swimmers whose shoulders are a mini launching pad for the twirlers. Pretty sweet arrangement.

All of this takes a wee bit of practice and agreement. Did they draw straws to find out who is in the air and who gets stepped on?

Relationships are a whirling ride. Just ask a newly engaged couple flying through life. But there are usually at least a few people under the surface, who give stability to a couple taking off.

This February Caring for Marriage is joining a national effort to support marriage. There will be date nights, and workshops, celebrations and training sessions in many states. You can read about them here. Chances are good there is something within driving distance of your door.

Our humble conference includes laughter, stories, good food and solid intentions. Everyone there arrives with the goal of being a leg up to marriage.... their own as well as those of people around them.

Come join us. The water's fine.
