Marriage Moats

Caring for Marriage

Unfrozen

A woman contacted me to offer a raffle prize for the marriage conference. Another brought me a lovely tea set to add to the array of winnables. Last week a friend needed to borrow a heating pad and I asked around. Four people leaped to the rescue. There are now three kind souls who take Benjamin on walks. Which he loves. Crowd sourcing is a means to funnel resources quickly and without sluggish overhead costs to people with pressing problems. This weekend I will dole out materials to benevolent ladies willing to construct costumes for the spring play.

How is it that people are so ready to give?

One of the components of renewable energy is motion. Air gets going, and if you plunk blades in the way it can shove a turbine into action. Water refuses to stay still, at least when it's not frozen, and finds every opportunity to swish and slide downhill. If you have a working knowledge of physics you can light up a town.

Life pours into us. Every day. Every moment. God's effervescent magnanimity never misses a beat, and lucky for us we are the undeserving recipients. To hoard that vivacity, denying it the inherent momentum to keep flowing, is to risk becoming frozen. But if we throw open the sluice, our exuberance can light up the world.

The Lord is aware of every particular detail and is making provision for it moment by moment. If He were to stop doing this for a single instant every stage of development would be thrown into confusion. -Heavenly Secrets 5122, Emanuel Swedenborg.
