Dear Lord,

I am working on this marriage, but it takes time. Sometimes it feels like too much time. One strand after another, one colorful moment, all alone by itself yet it becomes part of a whole, a fabric, a something that has a name and a purpose. Help me to remember that this strand of time with the person I love matters, and helps to hold the pieces together. Without it, there would be a hole.
