The story of t
he Maiden in the Castle of Rosy Clouds is a sweet one. A young man named Cedric was willing to work for many years to be worthy of the
maiden, and heroically faced each challenge that landed in his path. Serving others who are in danger mattered more than the inadequacy of his small knife, or inability to leap over a gorge. His willingness was the entry point for the sword, and mantle, and gray stallion to become his.
While Cedric was unaware of the sequence of his life's journey, wondering if his dreams wouldl come true, the events unfolded like the red mantle that
saved his life in a flaming building. When he finally found the castle in the rosy clouds, Cedric feared he was too late. He was an old man. But the passing of time has no power over chivalry. He was neither too early, nor too late to greet his bride.
From our vantage point on the ground it can seem like the only opportunity available to work on our character, and hence our marriage, is when we are together. This story reminds me of a what the
quest looks like from the rosy clouds.
