I took my twins to see a movie called Old Fashioned. It is a sweet film about falling in love gently, respectfully. Clay is something of a loner in town, as he refuses to date in the casual way that everyone around him does. He is banking on the promise in the Bible of creating all things new, because his choices in the past make him shudder. Clay is forthright about his principles and it both annoys and intrigues the girl who rents the upstairs apartment above his repair shop. She decides to keep breaking things so that he will have to come fix them. 

I cherish the conversation with my girls around the characters and what it took for him to take a stand on what he believes. It is in sharp contrast to those men in the movie who objectified girls. 

​Having one more story in my heart about someone who chooses to treat women with chivalry is precious to me.
