This
three minute video is pretty fun. The shepherds and dogs make playful images by pointing LED enhanced lambs in the right direction.
Sometimes it seems like I am wandering around in
the nighttime of my life, unaware of how I do or do not connect with fellow stragglers. Most of my energy is absorbed with an effort to not get eaten by wolves or nipped on the heels by a Border collie.
"All we like sheep have gone astray."
When I was little and my parents would play that part of the Messiah I assumed it was proclaiming a preference for woolly flocks. "All we like sheep", seemed like a message worth singing about.
I sang too. Maybe it fueled the song I wrote about the Little Lost Lamb which I still enjoy with preschoolers.
Much of the time I cannot make sense of the meandering path I seem to be trotting on. Yet if I heed the nudgings of the Good Shepherd and the capable assistants in his employ, it seems possible that I too am part of a larger picture, only visible from higher ground. At least as
possible as fifty lambs turning into a display of fireworks on the Welsh hillside.
