This is the second week of a spiritual growth group I participate in. We are using the seven days of creation to look more deeply at the creation of our own fresh selves.
It helps me to remember that I have higher and lower thoughts. When John used to forget to tell me where he was, before cell phones, and would finally walk in the door I would have a split reaction. Anger over being ignored and relief that he was safe competed for my attention. The first was a lower thought, based on my over active self interest. The latter was born of a higher awareness of my love for him.
This
video includes the reflections of a bevy of people on the same journey. They are ordinary in their struggles, yet extraordinary too. In making the effort to separate the waters beneath from the waters below, they draw me up with them.
Then God said, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters."
