I get a bunch of blogs that give copious suggestions for improving my life.

- Twelve signs of good parenting. .
- Seven habits of successful people. .
I suppose the intention in offering a limited list makes it seem less ominous. I know it helps me to make a finite list of tasks to accomplish each day. Many of them are indeed brief. Occasionally the completion of the chore takes less time than the effort to get started, like a phone call I am avoiding or cleaning the toilet.
Recently I decided to pay closer attention to how long some of these efforts actually take.
Emptying dishwasher- 90 seconds
Sweeping- four minutes
Starting laundry- three minutes
The realization pokes a whole in my blockade to beginning.
Often we invite couples to come up with a
